The decoration of food and beverages has been part of the culinary history for centuries. In recent years, the garnishing of cocktails has evolved a lot, to the point where it seeks to capture not only the flavor, but also the aroma, the season of the year and the environment in which they are consumed.

Cocktail decoration may extend way beyond fresh fruit, for instance with vegetables, flowers, seeds or artificial items like those mini-umbrellas that are so representative for the summer and Piña Colada.

We always encourage people to use their creativity, although it should be considered that classic cocktails like Dry Martini (olives), Margarita (lemon), Cosmopolitan (orange peel), Bloody Mary (celery) have their own specific garnish that identifies the drink.

An important aspect is the first impression a cocktail makes on the consumer. This means that a good garnish can turn a good cocktail into a bestseller, making for a happy bar owner and a motivated and generously tipped bartender.
